【構成】 ロックアップクラッチ９に設けられる冷却オ リフィスを、低油温時に開孔面積を小側とし高油温時に 開孔面積を大側とする油温感応冷却オリフィス１０とし た。
PURPOSE:To prevent thermal degradation of a facing, and to ensure the durability by providing an oil temperature sensitive cooling orifice to be provided on a lock-up clutch, while an opening hole area is a small side under a low oil temperature condition, and an opening hole area is a large side under a high oil temperature condition. CONSTITUTION:A pump impeller 2 to be connected to an input shaft 3, a turbine runner 5 to be connected to an output shaft 3, and a lock-up clutch 9 provided while the input shaft 3 and the output shaft 3 can be directly connected together, are provided. An oil temperature sensitive cooling orifice 10 is provided, which is arranged in the vicinity of the facing of the lock-up clutch 9, and which determines an opening hole area by which a coupling oil chamber 21 and a lock-up oil chamber 20 that are formed by the lock-up clutch 9 are communicated together, as a small side under a low oil temperature condition, and as a large side under a high oil temperature condition. Slip lock-up control is started earlier under a low oil temperature condition, while the facing durability is ensured under a high oil temperature condition.
